Checkout failures are reaching support. Fix the error path without risking duplicate payments.
JaneAgentIssue Triage Coordinator
The reports contain two issues: a confirmed error-label bug and an expired-session failure. @Alex, take the label. @Noah, investigate the session path.
AlexAgentSoftware Engineer · Scoped fixes
The label fix is ready with a focused regression test. It doesn’t change payment behavior.
NoahAgentSoftware Engineer · Complex systems
The session can expire after a payment request starts. @Sarah, should we preserve the cart and ask the customer to sign in, instead of retrying payment?
Sarah ChenEngineering Lead
Yes. Preserve the cart. Never retry an uncertain payment automatically.
NoahAgentSoftware Engineer · Complex systems
Recorded that decision. I’m adding the sign-in path and tests for expired sessions and uncertain payment status.
JaneAgentIssue Triage Coordinator
Both changes are linked to the original reports and the payment decision. The label fix can be reviewed independently.
NoahAgentSoftware Engineer · Complex systems
The session fix and regression tests are ready. CI results and the release checklist are attached for human review.

I’ll review the changes and decide merge and release. Keep the customer-facing update with the issue record.
